Ok thanks...
Maybe, if it is'nt to complicated, have it has an option? In my humble opinion, those crew members are really important for a complete season.

This is a due to a limitation within IMDb - although their database can now handle crew information on a per-episode basis, their old system didn't always have it. If you take a look at the 'full credits' for an episode (e.g. http://akas.imdb.com/title/tt0638777/), and scroll down there's a section that says:
Series Crew
These people are regular crew members. Were they in this episode?
At one point, I was including names from that section, but decided it's better to have crew missing, than to include crew that don't belong. I am willing to change my mind on that though if people think it would be better to include them...

I think I have found a bug...
I'm trying to get the crew informations for MacGyver Season 1. So, in "Cast / Crew Edito", I get to this adress :
http://akas.imdb.com/title/tt0088559/fullcredits#writers
Then, after selecting "Get Crew", I clic on "Get Names". On the right side of the window, I'm getting a episode list so I select all 21 episodes from the first season.
Finally, I clic on "Extract from selected episodes", get a XML crew list that I "select all", copy it and past it in DVD Profiler.
Here's the bug : important crew members are missing. Like "Lee David Zlotoff" who is the director, writer and creator of the serie (Look here : http://akas.imdb.com/title/tt0088559/) and many other producers, writers, etc. who are not listed on a particular episode but in the season full cast and crew (like here : http://akas.imdb.com/title/tt0088559/fullcredits#writers)
But maybe I'm not doing the right thing...
Thanks again for the great tool! The new system is terrific!

Hi folks
Firstly, I hope you all have a good Xmas and new year.
Secondly, I have an Xmas present. Version 0.4 (beta 1) of the DVD Profiler Companion, now has (most of) the functionality that DVDFolks had/has. Not only can it do films and TV shows, but it offers complete control over exactly which episodes to include/exclude from the list (DVDFolks just offered to restrict episodes to a season/part-season). As far as I know, the only thing that DVDFolks does that I haven't added into the Companion yet is the ability to edit the names/roles before making the XML. I will be adding that, but since other tools (e.g Tom Gaine's editor) exist that can do that, I thought it more important to get the 'unique' functionality out into the world now, than wait until I've added that capability.
You can download a standalone version of the Companion from http://www.dougweb.org/dvdpro/companion/companion0.4b1.exe. It is also available as a Firefox extension from http://www.dougweb.org/dvdpro/companion/companion0.4b1.xpi.
Any bugs in the IMDb extraction should continue to be reported here, and not to the IVS forums.
Thanks
